Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari Updates Fans on Infosys Founders’ Biopic and New Ventures
Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, celebrated for her work on films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Nil Battey Sannata, and Panga, announced a biopic on Infosys founders Sudha Murthy and Narayana Murthy four years ago. Fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on the project. Recently, Ashwiny shared insights into the delay and her current focus.
In an interview with News18 Showsha, Ashwiny revealed that the biopic is still in the writing phase. “We’re still writing that. It’s taking far too long, but I would love to tell their story,” she said. The director explained that she is currently prioritizing her production ventures before returning to directing.
Ashwiny also discussed her new partnership with Tips Industries. “I’m producing a few films. We now have a tie-up with Tips. Ramesh (Taurani) ji’s daughter Jaya was the one who wanted me to partner with them,” she mentioned. She highlighted the significance of this collaboration, noting that such partnerships typically involve men in positions of power. “But this is how change happens. This is the kind of association that will allow us to tell more stories for and by women,” she added.
